Ben's Dev Projects
The same portfolio. Eight different eras of web design.
1997
The Geocities Era
Grey backgrounds, Times New Roman, table layouts, animated GIF counters, and "Welcome to my homepage." The web was raw HTML and pure enthusiasm.
2000
Y2K Cyber Rave
Comic Sans, neon on navy, scrolling marquees, blinking text, star backgrounds, and webrings. If your page didn't crash Netscape, you weren't trying hard enough.
2005
Web 2.0 Glossy
Reflections, glass buttons, rounded corners via images, RSS badges, "beta" tags everywhere, and gradient everything. Ajax was the future.
2010
Skeuomorphic Peak
Leather textures, stitched borders, realistic drop shadows, jQuery animations, and share buttons for every social network that existed.
2015
Flat & Material
Bold colors, flat icons, card layouts, hamburger menus, parallax scrolling, and Google Fonts. Everything got a Material Design makeover.
2020
Dark Mode & Glass
Glassmorphism, dark themes, variable fonts, subtle gradients, and whitespace worship. Minimalism reached its final form.
2025
Neo-Minimal
AI-generated, cursor-aware, system-font-stack, ultra-clean. The content speaks; the design whispers. Every pixel justified.
2035
The Holographic Web
Neural-adaptive interfaces, spatial layouts, ambient intelligence, and pages that feel alive. The screen is just a suggestion.
